Two days ago I was twirling around the neighborhood in this little number, and today is a torrential downpour. This Spring I decided I am going to be purging my closet and getting rid of pretty much all my old clothes. I am in desperate need for a closet refresh so that’s my next plan. I want to use the money I make from my old pieces to buy a new more curated wardrobe.

I have so many things in my closet that probably haven’t been touched in over a year, which is sad, but realistic for most women. I even have some things with the tags still on them! My new plan is to make better choices for closet staples, and buy clothes that are flattering to my body type and petite frame. I know you’re probably thinking that this “trapeze” dress isn’t exactly flattering, but it actually can be more form fitting with a belt to create a synched waist.

Hats and dresses will always be my go-to, but as I get older my style transitions in many different ways. I always love coming across things I used to wear and wondering what made me pick that piece to begin with. For now I will be focusing on bright colors, short hemlines and lots of patterns!
