Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to be sharing 3 bike friendly outfits with Schwinn today. As you all know, my love for biking goes back years. When I first started this blog I posed in front of my beach cruiser wearing some leopard pants. Although those leopard pants days are over (what was I thinking?) my love for Schwinn remains the same. Since I am usually dressed up, I get a lot of questions from readers about how I dress for biking, or if what I am wearing is actually comfortable. I picked these three outfits because I feel as though they are the most true to what I wear on a daily basis. All of these outfits have been worn while I have gone cruising with my husband or my family down the shore.
The most important thing to remember is to stay true to you! Plenty of people will make comments if they don’t agree with the outfit that you choose but if you feel comfortable and happy & safe that’s all that matters!
Outfit 1: Dress To Impress
The first look is definitely the most complicated of the three. Although most people don’t like wearing dresses while biking, I honestly don’t mind it. The trick is to always wear shorts underneath and you can bike in complete comfort without worrying about your skirt getting stuck. As far as the wedges go, I really love biking in wedges because they’re comfortable and it’s easier for me to actually ride the bike because I am so short! Choose a shoe that is comfortable and won’t hurt your feet after riding! I also included the cross body bag because riding with a purse can be tough! This allows you to swing it to the side and ride comfortably.
Outfit 2: Lounging Around
The second look is my “go-to” beach look. I throw on a pair of jean shorts, a comfortable tee and some flip flops and head out the door. I love the simplicity of this outfit, but also how practical it is. I also love throwing a ribbon in my hair because it helps keep everything in place- especially when I am putting the helmet on and off my head! It also helps if you get “helmet-head” and need a little pick me up!
Outfit 3: Athleisure Look
This look is by far my favorite of all three looks! I hardly ever wear gym clothes out all day but sometimes- you just need to! I love wearing workout clothes that fit well, and are great quality. I usually buy most of my workout gear at Lululemon and I love that their clothing doesn’t show any sweat – it’s high quality and very good material! I also love wearing baseball caps. You won’t see me in them often- but I do love them!
