design bold, colorful on-trend bags and scarves. I also have several
skirt and dress designs that I haven’t quite gotten prototyped as of
How did you start your store, and what is the idea behind it?
started when I was laid off as a way to make interim income. Soon, it
became a full-time venture. The idea was to make practical, functional
accessories that also followed trend.
What is the hardest thing about owning your own handmade etsy shop?
balance – hands down! I have 2 children, a wonderful husband, a puppy
in training – and I rarely leave my sweatshop 🙂 It doesn’t hurt that I
absolutely LOVE what I do, and I work where I live. therefore I suffer
from the work/life balance struggle…
What inspires you every day?
Honestly, color. Color in nature, man

How do you use time management, and do you have any tips for new handmade etsy sellers?
I don’t have that one figured out yet. My biggest tip, and it was my
hardest to learn, is don’t under charge. Did you hear me? Now, pretend I
said it again…don’t under charge!! It’s hard to charge what we are
truly worth, but it is essential.
Lastly, what is your favorite part of selling handmade?
Working in my pajamas 🙂
