Skincare products you need in your routine! September 6, 2019
Good morning everyone and happy September! Can you believe it’s already Fall? I can’t believe how fast time is flying, and I feel like every year it sneaks up on me. This year is no different and I wish we could hold onto Summer a few more months. The transition from Summer to Fall can be a tough one for our skin. I personally am extremely dry in the winter and my skin needs a lot more attention. Throw in pregnancy hormones, and a whole bunch of other changes going on and my skin needs all the help it can get. I am happy to say that I have finally found what is working well for me. I have rounded up my favorite beauty items that I cannot live without. These items do all different things but I swear by them and needed to share them with you all! They are all very affordable which makes everything better.
Ice Roller– $11.99
You really can’t beat the price of this ice roller. Similar to a jade roller it helps soothe skin that has inflammation, redness or swelling. It helps with puffiness (under the eyes especially), helps shrink pores, can help with headaches and can also soothe bug bites and razor burn! I have been using it on my face in the morning and at night and I have noticed such a difference. My skin feels firm and glowy. You store it in the freezer or fridge (I keep mine in a ziploc bag to keep it clean) and you just take it out whenever you want to use it. I also love using it when I have blemishes- it really helps them disappear faster.
Billie Razor– $9
Never thought I would be so obsessed with a razor- but here we are! I was so sick of spending tons of money on razor cartridges so I started doing some research on this razor and the monthly subscription they offer. With consistent use this has actually helped me stop having to shave everyday. I can go 3 days in between shaving and the hair is barely growing! The razor also comes with a cute mount for the shower and you order the replacements as quickly as you need them. I also got the madewell shave cream which smells amazing and lathers really nicely. You can’t beat the price on this and you get a starter kit for only $9 (comes with a replacement razor). I love that you can pick the color you want and I love that it doesn’t rust.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water– $8
I use this to take all of eye makeup off. I sometimes wear waterproof mascara or eyeliner so it’s VERY hard to take off. This cleansing water is gentle, oil-free and you don’t have to rinse it off. It truly feels just like water.
I live for this stuff! This has a matte finish and makes your skin feel nice and tight once you’re done using it. It says to spot treat but I like putting a few squirts on a cotton round and putting it in my T-zone. This makes my skin feel so nice, and really reduces the size of my pores. Your skin will feel refreshed and clean by the end of it, and I love that Lush uses all natural ingredients like lavender oil, aloe, witch hazel extract and grape juice.
Fresh Rose Toner– $40
I use this toner right after I take my makeup off. I spray it onto my cotton beauty round and apply directly to my skin all over. It’s soothing, it helps tone the skin and best of all? It smells AMAZING. Just like roses. It can also be used as a makeup setting spray which is pretty cool!
Elf Cosmetics Cleansing Wipes – $4
I have been using these wipes for a few years now and they really help take all of my makeup off from the night before. People always ask me what my secret is to clear skin and honestly I think taking off my makeup is CRUCIAL to how clear my skin has been. Every single night I make it a point to take my makeup off and I feel like this helps me go to bed feeling clean and refreshed. I cannot fall asleep with makeup on my face and I hate how it feels the next day, so I make sure I don’t skip any steps.
Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask – $68
I use this mask at least once a week and love how it makes my skin feel. It’s cold when you put it on and even comes with a tiny applicator. Helps with fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture, and dark spots. I love that it has vitamin C in it and different types of Japanese berries. Really leaves your skin feeling nice and refreshed afterwards.
