Creating Family Memories That Last Forever July 27, 2018
Hi everyone! I am so excited today to be teaming up with Snapfish to talk about creating personalized family memories that last forever! For those of you who have been long-time readers, you’ll know that family is what is most important to me. Now that I have a growing family of my own, it’s even more important because I am making memories with my growing baby that I just don’t want to forget. This Summer has been so special to me because it’s our first Summer at the beach with the entire family. Although I am still commuting to work (so depressing I know) my weekends are spent primarily at the beach, enjoying a slower pace in life and taking in all the snuggle baby time I can get.
My family always jokes around that the only reason we have photos is because of me. It couldn’t be more true. Every time something fun happens I am the first to say LET’S POSE FOR A PHOTO!! Most of the time my nephews roll their eyes at me with annoyance but my response is always the same. “These are memories locked in time- I don’t want to forget anything!” And, it’s true. Being able to look back at photos has always been so special to me, and it’s definitely a part of who I am. I created this blog years ago to try and document a specific time in my life, and here we are 10 years (wow) later still documenting so many things that make me smile and reflect.
My family has definitely adapted to my love of picture taking and now, our gifts to each other are much more personalized. Last year I made my Mom a travel book for her birthday and included all of the photos from her country in the book. She was so happy and cried tears of joy, so I knew I was on to something. This year I wanted to do something special for the entire family, and for our beach house.
Since we spend so much time down there I wanted some pieces around the house that reminded me of all of the fun times we’ve shared together. That’s where Snapfish comes into play! I’m sure most of you have heard of them before but if you haven’t they are a web-based photo sharing and photo printing service. What I love most about Snapfish is that you can personalize so many different things with your own photos. In this day in age- everything is digital, which means you don’t print as many photos as you used to-but that’s ok! With Snapfish you can use all of your digital photos, and create beautiful pieces of art- or even print basic photos that you’ve taken on your Iphone. I love that it’s really easy to import photos- you can do this via facebook, instagram or google photos. The gifts are all budget friendly, which is important because most personalized gifts can really cost a ton. This summer I made some custom mugs, a beach towel with a photo I took in Aruba, a tote bag with a photo of Niko on it, and a pillow for my parents. Every piece made with love.
Right now Snapfish is offering 40% off their entire site with code SUMMERFUN40 –if you’re considering getting something special, now is the time!
The website is really easy to use, and gives you tons of ideas if you’re not naturally creative. I love how many options I had to choose from and how many templates were offered. If you’re stuck on a gift- I promise a thoughtful gift goes a long way. Fun memories always tug at the heartstrings and I love that I can have these beautiful pieces around my home as memories of the time I spent with my family, enjoying our summers by the Jersey shore.
