My 2012 Post (a little late) January 3, 2012
So I want you all to know that I struggled with writing this post for a few days now..I wrote, erased, rewrote, drafted….and I just hated everything I came up with…I didn’t want to just put up pictures of outfits and say “hey, here’s my year in outfit posts” because in reality it’s been a lot more than that to me. This year kicked my ass. It showed me that not everything is going to be how I expect it to be…and that in instances like that, changes and drastic steps need to be taken. Like many of you I struggled with certain things…I struggled finding time to do things I needed to do, or wanted to do…I felt empty with a job that I thought I wanted..and in the end I figured out what I really wanted to do. This year was full of amazing experiences, and some not-so-good ones too…but if I have learned anything is that it’s okay. I wanted to pick a resolution that truly meant something to me, not something superficial or cliche just because. My new years resolution is to stay in the present. This means so much to me, for many different reasons. I find myself constantly trying to do 40 things at once, and it becomes so overwhelming, that it takes the fun out of everything. How can you enjoy –right now– if you’re thinking about what you have to do tomorrow, or the next day. All anyone can do , or control…is the current moment..and it’s important to fully live & be in that moment, because it’s the only constant we have. It’s extremely important, and at times I can say that I lost sight of that. This is why I love the New Year, it gives us a reason to reevaluate and realize that changes need to be made…I am very excited for the upcoming months, I still have a lot of news to share when the time is right…I hope you all have a healthy and happy 2012, cheers!
