Mom Uniform– Look Good On The Go! October 9, 2018
Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday, and Happy FALL! The best season ever, especially for us bloggers. Looking forward to the basic pumpkin spiced posts, and of course all the layering and all the hats and accessories. Can you tell it’s my favorite season? Today I want to talk about my current mom uniform. It’s hard out here as a new mom- and looking good on the go is crucial to avoiding the hot mess express that is normally my life.
Most of the questions I get from other moms usually have to do with how I find the time to do anything – or look presentable. The answer is both long and short. While it’s hard to find time- I make it a priority to look put together when I leave my house, this usually involves a large amount of caffeine, and help from my husband. I am a firm believer in the fact that just because you become a mom, doesn’t mean your style has to change. I find true creativity in my outfits, and my style and that’s what keeps me motivated.
I love this outfit for so many reasons. First I’ll start off with why it’s easy. The basics of this outfit are a t-shirt and jeans. The jeans are ripped at the knee which does make the outfit more fun. I chose to pair this look with some low booties (super comfortable). Jeans and a tee can never fail when you’re out running errands with the baby. It’s easy to move around in, and if you have comfortable shoes on that’s half the battle. I tied this little scarf around my neck to add a pop of color and pattern to my neck since I hardly wear jewelry anymore(the baby pulls at everything including my hair). The hat and sweater can be taken on and off easily and add extra color and flare to a really comfortable every day look.

The second look is also really simple and yet fun. This oversized top is perfect for running around (and also hiding the dreaded postpartum tummy!) it’s a silk material so it’s really forgiving. This denim is high waisted, which also helps accentuate the waist and hide all the important places. Since I didn’t accessorize as much in this outfit I wore a cuter wedge that brought out the color in my top. These wedges are great for running around and actually are comfortable.Wedges are seriously the key to looking put together- I swear.
