I am so excited to be teaming up with WE’VE Built
today, to bring you guys an outfit modeling one of their beautiful
handmade products. WE’VE Built focuses their company around
collaboration. This collaboration integrates sustainability,
storytelling, design and technology. The awesome thing about WE’VE Built
is how they connect skilled people together, and thus beautiful items
emerge. WE’VE connects with artisans to help them make income in their
every day lives. 

Reading about WE’VE Built
and their story, was something that really touched my heart. I think
it’s important, especially around the holidays to support these
artisans, who make these items by hand, and truly put all of their love
into each item. I watched this video
on their page and I thought it was amazing that through WE’VE these
women now have additional income, and they can do what they love at the
same time.

I think we underestimate the power of handmade items. In such a mass produced world we forget that those huge companies and factories are taking over most Mom & Pop shops, which in my eyes is a complete travesty. We need to support the small businesses and handmade artisans that help our communities thrive. 

Another great thing about WE’VE is that they bridge the gap between the artisans, and the designers, but also between the consumer and the artisan who made the products. They share videos of the handmade process and thus making the consumer feel so much more connected to the artisan and the item they are about to receive.
