Stripes & Red July 11, 2016
Hey friends, happy monday! Crazy how quickly the weekends fly by nowadays. I feel like I am still trying to catch up on life since the wedding, and I am finding tons of posts where we took pictures and unfortunately I waited too long to share! It’s been a whirlwind of a month, and things are just starting to settle down, so I wanted to share some older posts to catch up before I start posting more vacation photos + Aruba stuff.
Stripes with pops of red always remind me of sailor outfits for some reason. I have always been a huge fan of reds & blues, and then when you add the stripes it just really completes the outfit. With Fourth of July gone already it’s crazy to think how quickly the summer is moving past us. We are trying to enjoy it as much as possible, and enjoy being down by the beach with our families too. I am hoping that life slows down a bit these next few weeks so we can finally be back to normal.
A lot of you reached out to me due to some instagram/twitter posts I put up about Ryan’s uncle Mike, and I really appreciate every single one of you. I have felt very heartbroken these past few weeks and have not gotten a chance to wrap my head around everything that has happened, which is why I have not mentioned it. When I feel like it’s the right time I will revisit it with a post in memory of Mike, but for now I am just trying to grieve and get through all of the emotions day by day. He was someone very important to Ryan’s family (and mine as well) so it’s definitely been rough for all of us. The one thing I will say is that when tragic things like this take place, you truly understand the importance of family and making time for things that matter. Ryan and I have been making sure that this our mantra from now on. Everything else can wait- always remember to check in with your loved ones.
