For anyone who has been following along here for a while you’ll know how much I love experimenting with makeup and trying new products! Every time the Sephora beauty insider event rolls around I always have a list of items that I stock up on, but also items that I have been waiting to try and decide to splurge on. This year was no different. You can never have enough makeup, am I right?
Since I am a VIB Rouge member I did get to shop the sale 6 days earlier and I am so happy I did because so many things went out of stock! I am going to round up everything I bought for you guys, and I hope you have fun shopping this event- it’s a really great time to purchase so many must-haves for a great price. Here are some of the items that I purchased at the sale, and you can see some of my skincare routine items here. This post covers everything from skincare- to self tanners and everything in between!
Today I am going to be focusing more on the makeup I purchased recently, and what I love about each product.
3 foundations I have tried (pros/cons):
Estee Lauder Longwear Foundation– I love the coverage of this foundation and the color really matched my skin amazingly, however I do think that my skin is a bit too dry for this foundation without any type of oil or moisturizing routine applied before hand. As long as my skin is hydrated the foundation glides on perfectly and the color is really nice.
YSL Touch Eclat (my color is B30, and B40)- This foundation is great for every day. I purchased two colors, one for my tan skin, and one for the winter months when I am pale. I really love how effortless it is once it’s on, it’s medium coverage so it definitely is not what you should use if you want to cover a lot, I do think the texture is nice though and I would consider using this every day for my makeup routine.
Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation (Amaretti 310G)- This foundation is full coverage and when I say it makes your skin looks absolutely perfect, I am not exaggerating! I love how much this covers, and out of all the foundations I have tried, this makes my skin look amazing. The one thing I did not like about this foundation is the scent- Huda’s products tend to have a “rose” scent that is quite fragrant, but honestly the scent went away after application, and I could work through it. It is very strong in the beginning though.
Other items I purchased during the sale:
Huda Beauty Baking Powder in Cupcake – I love that this setting powder makes my makeup last all day, it really is amazing and doesn’t give a “cakey” finish despite the name! I also really love the netting, it allows you to get just the right amount of product on your brush or sponge.
Norvina Palette– I follow so many youtubers who raved about this palette and it’s true- it’s so beautiful! I love the colors and they blend really nicely.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner– This liner is one of my favorites and has lasted forever! I finally decided to upgrade the one I had since it was fading out. This eyeliner stays all day, and it has a dark black line which I love.
Tatcha Obento Box- I truly love Tatcha and its products are a huge reason that my skin has cleared up. Their water cream is my favorite moisturizer and I would never go back now!
HUM Collagen Pop– I just received these from HUM and I have been using them for about a week- they are known to really keep skin looking its best!
HUM Glow sweet glow– Also just received these gummy supplements, and I am so interested to see what they do for my skin. They are low molecular hyaluronic acid vegan gummy supplements with vitamin E and C in a unique skin hydration formula to give you that ultimate glow.
Coola Makeup Setting Spray-This spray smells AMAZING. I am all about scents and I am loving this one. I started using setting sprays about a year ago and am really impressed with how long my makeup lasts.
Coola Sun Silk Drops– This also smells incredible. Like absolutely love the scent of any Coola product. These drops have 30 SPF and are great for fine lines and wrinkles. I also love that Coola products are known for being “clean by sephora” which means they are is formulated without: Sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban. All skincare, hair, and makeup brands with the Clean Seal have less than one percent of synthetic fragrances.
