Hi everyone! This post is a long time coming, but I finally rounded everything up that I have been loving during my pregnancy. Now at 33 weeks I feel pretty happy with a lot of the choices I have been making and so many of the items that were suggested to me! I separated everything in different categories so you guys can easily swipe through!
1.Burt’s Bees Cotton Extract Facial Cleansing Wipes: These wipes have been my go-to make up wipes since I found out I was pregnant. My skin has definitely cleared up since the beginning, but it definitely has gotten a little more sensitive and dry so that was something I wanted to take care of. These are really gentle and I use them every night to take off my makeup.
2.Belli Anti-Blemish Face Wash– I found this stuff while researching safe cleansers during pregnancy. With tons of reviews on amazon and other retailers, I was sold. It’s recommended by Obgyn’s and doctors alike, which also made me feel really comfortable using it! This makes my skin feel silky smooth and has helped keep my breakouts at bay.
3.Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter– I originally got this as a gift and fell in love with it! The smell is minimal and it makes your skin silky smooth! I have been applying this to my belly every single day 2x a day. It keeps the stretch marks at bay, and definitely helps with skin elasticity as well! I also use the
4.Nourishing Body Oil which helps keep your skin soft, and it is paraben free!
5.Bio Oil was also recommended to me by many of my readers as well as my friends who are Moms. I haven’t used this a ton but it is known to really hide the appearance of scars and stretch marks. I plan on using this more after pregnancy if I end up with any of those issues.
6.Lip Smart– This lip treatment is life changing! My lips have been so dry during pregnancy and I couldn’t find anything to help. I was recommended this product through a friend and I have purchased three of them so far. It’s not cheap ($30 a piece) but I promise you it’s worth it. If you have dry lips during the winter months it’s a must have! I use this once daily and it helps me so much!
7.Palmer’s Cocoa Butter– Palmer’s has always been one of my favorite brands and during pregnancy it’s a must have. I alternate between this and Burt’s Bees. I love the smell of this one too and since this is a thicker consistency I usually use this mostly at night. I also highly recommend their swivel stick. I have gotten many friends obsessed with this as their every day chapstick!
Accessories & Pain Relief:
8.Maternity Belt– I have experienced MAJOR back pain during the last trimester and it’s been very difficult for me to get up, sit down, roll over or even lay down. I was told by my doctor to get this belt and it helps so much! It helps with posture, but also with holding up your belly so that you don’t feel so weighed down by it. Not a complete fix but definitely helps!
9.ThermaCare Lower Back Heat Wraps– Another great thing that has helped my back pain is these thermacare wraps. I get the L-XL size (this fits around my belly) and the heat it provides all day is perfect. It helps when the pain is too much and I need to get through the day, but also when I sit at work. These are disposable and come in a pack of 3. At home I use the heating pad that plugs into the wall, and usually put it right on the spot in my back where it hurts. This is the one I have. This will help with inflammation!
10.Rock Candy Nursing Bra & Medela nursing bra– I have tried tons of different bras and these two are my favorite. They kind of feel like sports bras, but have a clip to help with nursing. Obviously the baby isn’t out yet but these two bras help with the feeling of the bra on a growing body. The underwire in my other bras was a little too much so I switched to these and I am much more comfortable!
11.Body Pillow: This is the one that I purchased, I am not sure if any brands are different but I love mine. It’s very comfortable and helpful when trying to get comfortable while sleeping. It’s quite large, so keep that in mind when ordering it. I usually use this when I am taking a nap since we only have a queen size bed and this takes up a lot of room. A pillow between your legs helps too!
12. Portable Fan – This item is probably my favorite. Since I found out I was pregnant I am literally always warm. I carry this everywhere and I recharge the battery about once a week. It’s good to keep in my purse because I will randomly break out in a sweat even when it’s cold outside. This is perfect and has 3 speeds! I look a little silly when I whip this out and all my friends make fun of me but it’s totally worth it!
Clothes (Favorite shops!)– Pregnancy has been a wild ride for me as far as fashion is concerned. I’ve definitely been more open to the changes my body has been having and it’s opened the door for so many different clothing options. Most pregnancy clothes are not for me. They lack a shape, and don’t really have tons of patterns. I found a few stores I love and I have stuck with those. I also have been wearing a lot of non-maternity items and just sizing up as well. Here are my favorite stores and I have also linked some items underneath that show my top picks from that store specifically.
Pink Blush – Tons of options as far as dresses and tops. I love their dresses because they’re all very comfortable and the patterns are beautiful! I’ve done quite a few posts with them as well, you can find those on my blog.
Nordstrom– You all know I LOVE me some Nordstrom. I ordered a lot of tops and dresses from here including the dress I will be wearing to my baby shower. Although some of their items can be pricier, their quality is unbeatable. I love the selection of brands and the variety they offer. Definitely my number one place to look for clothes! I also purchased my maternity PJS and robe from here.
Motherhood Maternity– My MIL bought me a few things from this store and went I went in I fell in love! They have so many different brands and fun quirky tees. My favorite leggings are from here and I purchased a few pairs of jeans as well.
ASOS– Last but not least, ASOS maternity. I purchased most of my tees and sweaters from here and with the shipping program ($19/year) you get free 2 day shipping which is amazing. I also got some dresses from here that I loved. My only issue with ASOS is their sizing and how inconsistent it is. I had to return many outfits because of sizing problems but if you don’t mind that part, then it is not so bad.
Old Navy– I love Old Navy for so many reasons. The clothes are always on sale, they are comfortable and good quality and most importantly, they are affordable. It’s hard not to break the bank when shopping for clothes but ON makes it easy to save because everything is fairly priced. I have many dresses and tops from here.
Other Comfy Things:
I definitely suggest in buying some comfortable clothes to hang around in! Here are some of my favorite pregnancy picks! I have actually ordered all of these items and they are my favorites.
