Hey everybody, and welcome to Little Tree, a blog about fashion, lifestyle and beauty. I started this blog six years ago in the hopes of staying inspired by all things vintage and fashion. Although my love for vintage has stayed the same, this blog has evolved into a love for fashion, and inspiring others through my love for life, travel, and everything in between. I love sharing bits and pieces of my life on this platform, and more importantly, I love inspiring others to step outside the box, try new things, and always feel confident in what they’re wearing.
I currently reside in New Jersey with my husband Ryan, and our dachshund Oliver. Most of my experience has been working with hospitalized children, and currently I hold 3 degrees. One in fashion management, and two in childhood and adolescent studies. I am always continuing to learn and I truly love school. I feel like a person can never learn enough- so I truly value everything my education has taught me thus far. We are always growing and learning, and I think it’s important to embrace that.
I believe that everything you see is what you put out into the universe.
To quote a favorite blog of mine — “There will always be people trying to tear you down, but remember: you’re the one creating something where there was once nothing. Ignore, block, repeat.” (we wore what)
Frequently Asked Questions
Who takes your outfit photos?
I am lucky enough to have a husband who helps me with all of my blog photo needs, so most of the time he takes my photos. If Ryan isn’t available my family usually helps out too, my Mom is also an awesome photographer so she does some of the work and she shot most of my photos from 2011-2013!
What kind of camera and lenses do you use? Do you love it?
I use Canon 5D EOS Mark II and the lens I use is 50mm, I also have a zoom lens 70mm-200mm. When I started my blog I used a Nikon D5000, so most of the original photos are taken on that. And yes I LOVE my camera. I made the investment to buy a really expensive camera, but it was 100% worth it and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The photos are crisp, and the quality is remarkable. For my youtube channel I am currently using a Samsung NX3000. It has a pop up screen option which is really helpful when shooting!
What does courtesy of “c/o” mean?
Courtesy of means that it has been sent to me by a company or shop. These items are all picked out by me and fit my personal style. I also work with companies through affiliations and posts for profit, all of which is clearly stated in the post.
Where did you get your glasses?
My cat-eye glasses are made by Rayban, and they are a cat eye frame. I bought them at a local optical boutique, but they can be found on ebay and other auctioning websites! Not on the Rayban site though, they’re posted but not available for purchase. My other glasses can be found online, so just shoot me a message and I will get back to you with links!
What are your favorite places to shop?
My favorite stores include Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Madewell, Topshop, etc. You can shop my favorites, here.
How do you get your curly waves?
I use a curling wand and I wrap my hair around it to get my waves! It’s a super old school way to do it, but I have been doing it for so long that it’s second nature now. I am currently using this wand, and I swear by it!
Any recommendations for new bloggers?
Be yourself! Focus on your look and aesthetic and follow through with it. Make sure everything is visually pleasing or else people may not want to come back. Take nice crisp photos, and stay true to who you are and what you love! For more information you can watch my FAQ about blogging part 1 & part 2.
What is your ethnicity?
I am 50% Cypriot, and 50% Greek. Cyprus is a small island (separate from Greece) but they speak the same language and practice the same religion, so technically I am just Greek, but I like splitting it up!
