Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I am back from a long weekend at the beach and posting another favorite outfit from Aruba. I wore this outfit to one of our dinner dates, and absolutely fell in love with the pattern and color combos of both. These shorts are AMAZING, and fit really well to my frame so I really love pairing them up with a crop top, or tied blouse like I am wearing in these photos. Although the weather is usually anywhere from 80-90 degrees, the wind makes it a bit cooler at night so a long sleeve shirt wasn’t out of the question.
I look back at all of our photos and really miss my tan! Although I have tried to maintain it, I don’t think I have ever been that bronzed. Ryan and I both came back looking tan and feeling rested, and it definitely makes me yearn for another vacation. It had been over a year since we traveled together so it was definitely needed after the wedding, especially after all the planning and stress that goes into planning your big day.
There’s something about the salt water and fresh island air that makes you never want to leave. I guess that’s why they call Aruba, “one happy island.” It couldn’t be truer, everyone we met was so sweet and nice to us, we really could see ourselves going back year after year.
One of my favorite parts about the trip (besides the flamingos) was getting to meet the locals, do things out of our normal routine, and eat delicious food every night. Since we normally eat home cooked meals, eating out every night was definitely out of the ordinary for us, but it gave us a chance to try all of the local food and really get a taste for the culture on the island.
I am still working on rounding up all of our favorite places to eat, and that should be posted some time later this week. I have a lot of friends visiting Aruba in the coming months, and even some also going on their honeymoons there, so I am happy to share what we loved/and didn’t love. Hope you guys have an amazing start to your week, and I can’t wait to share the rest of our vacay pics!
